Sudan Research

The human right that we chose for Sudan is "no torture".

In Sudan, there are innocent citizens who are in torture, and it has been increasing throughout the 50 years. Why, because their aim is to humiliate the victims. There are rebels and attacks, so there are people who have been beaten up by different people with cables, wires, and ends of the rifles. Some people are burned, some have been treated in the Khartoum. Innocent people have also been taken to have orthopedic surgeons, because they've got bone problems. Some people are unable to speak, blind and some have serious psychological trauma because of the great damage on feelings, where they are shocked and feel bad for them because of those torture. They are burned by cigarettes, and burn marks on their body.

People who has been affected by this are the people who are living in Sudan, the visitors from other countries, where they might attack by people. Even the government might be having a lot of things to worry about.

There are sharia laws, which is unfair to women. Women also got raped, women are targets for violence. They are given slashes, and some people have been kidnapped, their family don't know why they "disappeared". Some people got hanged, and there are slavery. These are the torture in Sudan. They are lack of rights, wide range of innocent people has been hurt. They lost their dignity, as well as freedom. They are forced, and it is pain. They do not need to take these depression, some are even crazy after being tortured, but thankfully, some people were escaped.

Some children in Sudan do not have education. They have been affected mentally and physically, since they already know scenes of the torture. Of course, they're becoming bad, because they understand the violence. They understood these torture, and they'll use people and take these actions to their victims. No one will know how many victims existed. This brutality has never been occurred throughout the Sudanese history. People have rights to stand against torture, don't they?

ICT Lesson 2 Reflection

In today's lesson, I learned that every advert can represent something, and that they could present it in different ways. I also found out different youth of human right. Human right are things you are allowed to be, to do or to have. It is also your protection to someone who's breaking your rights, it helps us to get along with others to live in peace, and if there are no human rights, there'lll be discrimination, intolerance, injustice, slavery etc. The main points were to have rights on:

-Born free and equal (treat with dignity)
-Don’t discriminate
-The right to life
-No slavery
-No torture
-Universal rights (Have rights wherever you go)
-We are all equal before the law no matter who we are
-Law protects your human rights
-No unfair detainment
-The right to trial
-We’re always innocent until proven guilty
-The right to privacy
-Free to move
-Right to seek a safe place to live
-Right to a nationality
-Marriage and family
-Right to ownership
-Freedom of thought
-Freedom of expression
-Right to public assembly
-Right to democracy
-Social security
-Workers’ rights
-Right to play
-Food and Shelter for all
-Right to education
-Copyright
-A fair and free world
-Responsibility
-No one can take away your human rights

After looking at these adverts, it convince me to make it as a story so it's interesting. For example, if we're doing right to education, we can also make an advert about a girl which is banded from going to school because of her mom's business. Then, we can sum up with saying the right. This will convey the message, also to make the audience feeling interested with it. The story must be short, so it doesn't take a long time for the audience to watch, since I also find the long adverts very annoying. If we sum up that we're conveying the message of human right, then it'll strengthen about what we're presenting to the audience.

Last lesson, we had been looking at Sudan. The human rights we've chosen which fit Sudan is no torture. We chose that because we think there are torture to women, they have to be whipped because of wearing pants and etc. The Sharia laws are unfair to women, and we think it is related to torture.

Lastly, after the research, we've also learned about UNDHR (United Nations Declaration of Human Rights). The goals of the United Nations is to bring peace to the world. In order to do this, they made the 30 Human Rights.

Sudan video clips

The first clip I learned that women in Sudan cannot wear trousers, they have to get slashes because it's crime.  The woman in this video is actually doing this in purpose. She's challenging the laws, laws that are humiliating women. I think it is unfair, since this country is sharia law, women are definitely unfair comparing to men.

The second clip is about hunger and malnutrition. Children from Sudan were very poor, they don't have enough food to eat, so they became malnourished. The mother's worries were not shown from the face, but they must be upset about it. This is normal to them, because there are a lot of children had this problem. The drought had destroyed their crops and now they had no food left. I think they really need support or else a lot of children would starve to death, but children nowadays in Sudan are really in pain since they're suffering from this situation.

The third clip is about water in Sudan. The person who's recording the video is sitting with the person from Sudan. I learned he seems that he had never seen a camera before. That means that Sudan is lag of technology. I also learned that Sudan's drinking water is very dirty, they're full of mud. The people still drink it, because they have no choice. But look at us, we've got what we need, we've got high amount of water supply. We can have water anytime, but people in Sudan has to walk to the place to get water, then go back to their homes and carry them back again. Having water in our daily lives is normal, convenient, we just turn the tab on then we can have water. Sometimes we also waste it, but a lot of people in Sudan doesn't waste a single drop of water.

In image 1, calculations:
V=18 V
I=1.8 A

R=18/1.8
   =10 Ω

In image 2, calculations:
V=18 V
I=0.9 A

R (total) = 18/0.9
R (total) = 20 Ω
(Which is 10 Ω resistant, and it's the same answer to image 1)

OR

I= V/R = 18/2x10 = 18/20 = 0.9 A (Which is the current measured in image 2)

Science question and reflection

Selene: blue
Janice: Purple

1. How does plants selective breed after using brush to transfer pollen to the stigma?
2. How do you know when the plant is selective breed but not wild plants?
3. What chemicals of the metal make it tarnished?
4. Why do some metals doesn’t react with a specific acid?
5. What happen inside the battery when it is old and cannot use? Why does battery run out? (For example AA batteries)
6. What can you use Thermite for?
7. Where are chromosomes located?
8. Besides having a weird shape of your blood cells, what are the effects of sickle cell?
9. What are the three types of cloning?
10. Can metals be acidic? If so, name one.

My reflection:
I think today's class revision helps me to refresh my memory, because I haven't study for some time since I've got homework to do. I think the revision didn't help much, but makes me wanted to study from now on, since I already brought back my ideas from the term 2 units. If I studied for some time in the past, I might think this isn't useful, because I'm already in a higher level. But now I'm down at the bottom again, so I'll study and build up, remember what I've learned.

For the presentation, I would keep it up and try to speak slower. I think I spoke too fast, and I'll try not to read off from screen like I did in other subjects.

Science Presentation Reflection

I've presented in the class today, about the topic "Cloning". I think my presentation was logical, since I did the research, also added some information from listening to the video. I understand what is cloning, and I presented about what I understood. I think my presentation is quite clear, because it's in order- animal cloning, human cloning, impact to society, negative influence and my opinion.

I think I have to improve on elaboration. Since I wrote all of my information to the powerpoint, and since the teacher said we could read off from powerpoint, I actually didn't talk much about it, instead I just summarized it and sometimes talk about relating information I could add inside when I was speaking. I didn't use any diagrams, so I think I should have improved on this area, but I have eye contacts with my audience. I also have to check the spelling mistakes, be more cautious of what I'm giving the audience to look at. Most of all, I think I projected my voice and spoke clearly. The teacher said I should relax when I was talking, because I hesitated a lot since I was nervous. The good thing is that I used the right background, so it could be read off easily. I've got my reference, and I think my overall presentation was quite logical.

Understanding of Computing

A computer system is divided into 4 layers in order to work. People depend on networks, if there was no software, networks wouldn’t work, and if there was no hardware, software wouldn’t be installed.

Hardware makes the first layer in the computer. It includes motherboard, CPU, RAM, HDD, Power supply and the case. Every computer has these components, but they might not be in the same place. The motherboard is the main circuit board, which also can connect other boards with its wires, and can add chips to most of the PC computers. CPU is the brain of the computer; it does the calculations and compares processes in order to make the computer work. It contains metal connectors or pins on the side. The modern CPU should have a small fan on top of it to cool heat down, so, the CPU should be right under the fan and about half of the CPU can be seen. RAM transfers information quickly, since the RAM disk loses its contents once the computer turns off, files should be copied back to the hard disk- HDD, at the start up and when it turns off. The power supply is a big block with a fan at the side. It can be recognized easily as it supplies power. It converts AC (alternate current) current to DC (direct current), AC can reverse directions, but DC, only flows in the same direction.

The case covers the whole system and wires, so it will look more organized, instead of a mess. The main point of the case is to reduce the chance of computer freezes and crashes, and to keep out dust that goes inside the hardware.

In the past, the hardware that people used was called mainframe. They were very large, one mainframe took up the whole room. The processor or the terminal in the mainframe acted as a CPU, and the tape in the mainframe acted as the hard drive. When people had to type out essays, for example, they had to set up a program and type it on the punchcard.  There was a card reader- the information would pass through the terminal, it ran through and sorted things out, calculated the data and then it would transfer into a big printer to print the output. If there was one mistake, since there was no screen to see where it was made, people had to check where it had gone wrong after printing it, and then they had to print it again. Of course, these actions take a long time, so the computers that people have now, are faster and more efficient.

The next layer is the software. There's application software and operation system software. The difference between these two, are that application software consists of thing games, Microsoft documents, databases, graphics, spreadsheets etc. Operation system software are important programs that run the computer, for example, Windows 7 and Linux.

In the past, people had to do the programming design. They needed to sort out data and other things in order to get what they wanted, for example, coordinates and math calculations, programs like Fortran, Pascal, c-program. People in the past might have used Fortran to analyze data in physics, science. They would have had to set up the program first, because there was no CD rom disk like nowadays to transfer it in the computer and appear on the screen. They had to type out a program in order to make shapes and coordinate drawings.

The third layer is network. Networks allow people to communicate with any computers when they’re connected to the Internet. Networks use IP/TCP (Internet Protocol/ Transmission Control Protocol) route messages based on IP address of the destination. It is the identity of the computer. Each number of the IP address can be 0 to 255, and written as 4 numbers separated by periods. Each one is unique to avoid duplicates. To send the packets, they break down digital communications into packets, which make the division to equal sized packets. They are sent individually to their destination through the network, and it sorts the order out when all the packets arrive at the same place. The routes also affect the speed when packets are transferring, some routes will break when there are problems, and they use another route so the packets can arrive at different times. The header is the beginning of the packet that starts to work, they have to sort out the IP address of the computer, destination, the length of the packet bytes, and the total number of packets that are needed to complete the transfer.

The fourth layer is people, which is the online community. An online community, for example, Facebook, Twitter and Myspace, are homes for people. They go to those online websites a lot. The main reasons are that it is free, they can chat with people, they can find their old friends and communicate by chatting and mailing, share information and even have relationships. They can also take part in online learning, which will also help them progress in their education instead of just learning through textbooks. It increases students' knowledge because textbook knowledge is limited, but the internet is broad.

The negative thing is just the same when a blog goes bad. People in an online community usually have an account to log into in order to join the online community. Here are the disadvantages: since people voice their opinions and persuade others to join them, for example, about social position, it would make it a controversial problem, on which some people disagree and some agree. The trouble makers would post bad comments to the person, and the person's social reputation would be lower, since people gossip in communities.

There could also be hacking, which is very common these days. Some people do this without reason. They want to own your account and say bad things to other people, in order to destroy your reputation. Some websites might need money for games and other applications, the hackers might want to take your money and move it to their own accounts.

Not only online communities, but also the computer has influenced the world. For personal uses, it is definitely convenient. There's a technology called Wi Fi, which enables people to use internet without being connected to a router by a wire. It is also user friendly, not like the technology in the past. The negative influences are that people would get addicted to computers. A newspaper article described how there are some people who died because they were playing online games non-stop. Another negative side effect is that it's also bad for eye sight and people can develop slower reactions. If people become addicted to the Internet, it will definitely affect their education, their thinking skills and their social skills. From society's point of view, it will also cause pollution. New technology is released nearly every month, and people always love to buy new items and gadgets. This causes a huge amount of electronic garbage. Since some parts of the computer cannot be reused, it causes a big problem, because computer hardware like the shell of the laptop are made out of plastic, and this plastic cannot decompose.

Computing systems are very common nowadays, since computing is already one of the most important things in our daily lives, and they're being used by the majority of people in society. People should understand about the basics of how a computer system works and the correct use of internet so they can integrate into the society.

Rapid Presentation (Online Community)

After watching the video for my presentation, I think my action when I was presenting was very bad, because I moved around when I was speaking, but I was in a hurry to present all my speech in one minute, so I was a bit rush. I thought that my speech was not very fluent, since I hesitate and can't move on to the next word a lot. I think my overall presentation was quite good, the good thing in my presentation is that my voice is loud enough for people to hear. I might have to improve by saying things that are more important, the main point, instead of speaking about examples, that will help me to save time.

Understanding The Internet

Internet is a massive network, which connects all computers globally. The network allows them to communicate with any computers as long they're online (connect to Internet). Computers are hooked into the Internet, send and receive information with IP/TCP (stand for Internet Protocol/ Transmission Control Protocol). If you look at a picture of node garden, it will show you how the network is connected. There are so many nodes, which are like lighted dots inside the node garden, connected by wire-like substance.

In the past, people have basic internet, which people can't really communicate well and the network is slow, because of the routes, if some routes are cut, then they don't have another route to pass information through. For telephones, there's a old lady which control everything, when one person talks to another, she make the connection pressing some buttons. Some people can even listen through using some equipments and get information of what the two people who are communicating using the telephone say. But now, it is better because there are different routes which lets the information to pass through easily, if one is broken or stuck, it can use another route to pass through.

In class, we created a role play something like LAN (local area network), which presented a small area of node garden, to show how the Internet works. That includes the connections of Youtube, Google, ICHK (our school), Facebook and others (nodes). We made an example of how packet switching goes through connections, using a computer. When the computer send a picture, it is made out of millions of packet switches, and it will go through the connections to Facebook. They all must past through a broadband network, for example, Singtel, PCCW to connect through the webs. So the packet switches have to go through differents routes, but if one route is broken, they have to take another route by hop, this is called a connection switching. The packet switches then goes to the final place Facebook. If one packet is lost, Facebook will send information to the computer and it will reply back, then it will find the way back to facebook. The transfer is complete.

I think this role play game really made me understand how it work, as the whole thing is already placed in front of you, so you'll get a better understanding of how it look like by using models. This is a very good experience, I understand how packet switches change their connections, and how packet switches can use different routes to get pass to the final place. I think what we have to improve was to understand better to where we are going, so it runs smoothly, but of course, some packets can be lost, so it is fine to be struggle of how to get to the final place. If we're doing this next time, I think we can make a wider connection, because everyone won't bump onto each other. It also make a larger difference of the speed in how each packet switches goes.

Computer Systems Recap

In the past three weeks, we'd operated a computers with the system units.

We'd divided into four groups, and we all had to install everything inside the system unit. That included the motherboard, CPU, RAM, HDD, Power supply and the case. The motherboard is a circuit board which there are slots, and it was the first step we took, we placed it onto the case. Then, we put the CPU inside the flap, which CPU is to executes program and application instructions. CPU has a lot of tiny golden circles, and in the middle, there are some bigger hard metal stick out. The next step, we put on RAM, it keeps the CPU instruction contents. They placed on the longest bar slots on the motherboard, and there must be 2 of them. We then put the HDD and the hard-drive onto the side. There's a power supply, the big block which goes on the side as well. It's got the biggest plug in the case. After we'd install all of these, we plug the plugs in. We closed the lid of the case and tried to operate the computer, and made the account of the computer when set up.

The third week, we'd tested the network connection, and opened the applications. We'd saved a document on the desktop successfully, and we'd opened the terminal operator, we type "ping" to test the internet connection, and there would be a IP number popped out. We'd copied the IP number and put it in the bar for typing the address, and the link would came out. The IP numbers are for the computer to read, which links are for human being to read. We've tried to connect the four groups' computers onto a small case, which only connected the four computers, but not the school internet. We'd installed "finger", and so we could try to talk to each other on the computer, but that's next class.

I've learned to install the case, and how inside the case worked. I think it's useful to learn these skills, because I could know what's going on in the laptop and computer. I didn't really contribute to place the items in the case, but I'd watched it and know what's happened.

Final Film and Evaluation

In this project, we are supposed to pick an option and film a stop frame animation. A stop frame animation is an animation that you take photograph on one shot, move a little, take a shot, move a little, and so on, to make the it an animation. If you play the shots that you take, you’ll get a result of an animation showing an object or something moving, and we use this technique this because we might want something to be personify, or make an object that isn’t alive to be alive. Which my group make an animation taking shots to make a story, about a messy place turn into a clean place, the main character should be the bags, which tidy the mess up, but also is the one who mess the place. In this project, I am the one who move the objects, and sometimes take shots; we can take turns because we think we can learn how to make the animation by taking the jobs in turns. I think we work well on the first part where the bag vomits the books out, because the books slide out fluently. The problem is the remaining part, which the entire object started not to slide across, or move across fluently. If we are going to do this again, I will not make a big move, and I might have to make the film a bit slower. I also think that the music suits the story. The problem we solved in the film is when the screen moved, which the first shot wasn’t in that place, so we have to figure out how to turn to the right place again. If I am going to do this again next time, not just to make the sliding and the moves fluently, but also to keep ourselves on time, which step is due on which day. I might need to as well to make the film a proper storyline, since this film, I found out, has not got a real problem, and a proper beginning.

Test Film and Evaluation

In media lesson, we have to film another video, which is a project we will work on for next 6 weeks.

In my test film, I think the part my group mates and I worked well was the part where the pencil case climbed up. It looked realistic, and the part when the first chair climbs up. The part I would like to change is the part where the screen moved to show the second chair moved up. The screen must stay still as the first chair moved, and then the second chair moved up, and then the pencil case climbs up. The opening part, I would also like to use the idea of filming from coming into the room, like the video I watched in YouTube. After filming coming into the room, we’ll film from the part where the test film has started.

Stop Frame Animation

In ICT lesson, we are working on media, which we did the stop frame animation on Wednesday. We divided in groups, and we worked on the animation in "I can Animate". Stop frame animation is images that we put together and make animation when played fast. The project that we worked on is called "Tidying itself", which we film a corner in ICT/media room, and started with messy room, and slowly, we have to move the objects to look like it's tidying itself. My role in this project was moving the objects while taking photos, my role was to move the water bottle, the chair and the laptop (on the table). Basically each one of every objects, because there are many the same objects in the room. Me and some of my group mates work on the moving object part, and 2 person took turns to press the key for taking photos.

I think it went quite well, but sometimes there are people's head and legs out of the way, so it was slower than I thought, but we finished it anyways. We sometimes have to re-film it, so that also took some time. There were also problems in the importing and adding music on, but overall, I think it went smoothly. I think this project was fun. I could improve on getting more involved with the projects, and me and my group mates have to try to move one object from each person, because it was kind of mixed up. Sometimes somebody moved that, while another person was working on that object, so the result from the video was not that good, while the objects were already moved, but someone moved it again, so it made it a humungous move.

Reflection

This blog was created in ICT class. I embedded YoutubeLibrarythinggoogle docwordle and delicious to display my work. In blogger, I learned to use posting and commenting, also changing the design for displaying, for example, text colour, title colour, background colour, template design and link colours etc. I also know how to add gadgets in blogger to make the blog look interesting and tidy.

I learned how to copy RSS feed link address to put bookmarks and links on to the sidebar, by going to design and adding gadgets. and know how to copy HTML code to display the things I wanted to display on my blog (posts). I know how to label the work, which we go to posts and at the bottom, there is a bar that says "labels", which I put keywords on it. I then go to design and add a gadget called label, and show all the labels on my sidebar of the blog.

The work in my blog I figured it mostly myself, but I also read the instructions in google help and asked people for some help. I asked people for help from copying RSS feeds, but after I know how, I did the same thing I've learn to other embedding. The learning for me isn't simple, because I took some time to figure out how to do it, but I also got it after exploring. In this blogging activity, I learned how to explore something myself, even though sometimes I can't figure it out, so I wanted to give up, but I also learn how not to give up exploring and discovering. So I found it quit meaningful. This learning process help me to apply to other situations in my life, I would keep on practicing not to give up until I found the answer to the thing I wanted to look for and keep on trying to be staunch. I might approach it the same way, but I might have to figure the things myself more, than to ask people for help without trying. Overall, I think I learned more than I expected, I improved my own learning.

When blog gone bad

Introduction
Blogging have a short history, it is started at 1997. Even though, blogging is still very common technology. Why do people use blogs? They are common and popular throughout the world, easy to access and post things that they wanted to share with. Blogs also express people's ideas and thoughts, which people comments onto them and reply to their ideas and thoughts. Think deeply, blogging also creates problems, because the internet is not as safe as we think. The following tells you about 3 main problems about blogging.

1) Receiving negative comments from people
  • You get negative comments from people in blogs, because they might not be interesting, or people object your idea. They always make negative comments or put swear words onto comments. People post thoughts, ideas and viewpoints, but the point for it is to tell people about it.
2) Being spammed
  • Spam are copies of messages, which people may not choose to abuse it. In spams, people might put curse, for example, "If you don't send this message to other blogs or your friends, you will die."Of course, this is not a good example. Why do people send spams? They use it to sell products and services to promote email spams, or they are practical jokes. Spams only make people send to a few people, but it spreads out very quickly, so people throughout the world will keep sending these messages around, and the person who started it will attained their purpose. If there are spams in your blog, that means there are hundreds of them, or your whole blog would be full of spams when it is the worst case.
3) Hacked
  • When people are hacked, they might find out that there are something being stolen, or something being deleted. Not only that, there are a lot of possibilities, like email have been changed, posts that you didn't post, which might be swear words (The posts that the hacker posted) or can't log in for ages. Why people hack accounts are also related to the above points, because one, the person who you know hacks you maybe because they don't like you or they are practical jokes, or two, the person wanted something from you. (Just like computer games, they steal the things they wanted or wanted coins and real money for buying clothes in the games)
Conclusion
To solve the above problems, we have to do preventions. If you receive negative comments from people, one way is to delete the comment, or delete the post. To prevent this, you have to do something before, taking those negative comments. You have to be word wise, be careful of your use of words and your thoughts, even though it's your own point of view. You shouldn't post writings or article about anything you are not sure about, so your chance of getting negative comments or told off by people is low. If you're not good at interacting with people, you might also include being nice to people, keep them fun for looking at your blog. If you get your blog spammed, there's one popular way for getting all spams away. There's a data-view, which deletes all spams at once. You have to use a Sharepoint data-grid and delete a large amount of spams at once. Sharepoint is a powerful blogging system. It will also block spams before it is uploaded. Before it is hacked, you have to do the below things. Do not give people password even though there are administrators ask you, because administrators never ask you passwords and ID. People who does that are only hackers, and don't ever download softwares that you do not trust or never seen it before. Always only use popular softwares (but not all! Not the ones you don't trust even if it's popular), they might be illegal or they have viruses. If the account is hacked, you might have to delete it if it's the worst case, or change your password and email address (that the blog sends you email messages).
It's not only these cases, but there are lot more. If there's any problem, you might have to research any problems that you've experienced, or ask people you trust and people you know.

5 Google Search Tips

For searching information, we use google for searching most of the time. There are problems for searching, if you search a whole bunch of words, they probably will give the separate research results for you. For example, if you search [Millennium Goals address], they will give you a result of Millennium goal, but the [address] don't appear next to it but to appear somewhere in the article.
  • keeping the research words together, is to put quote marks "" in front and in the back of the words/sentence you want to keep together. If you put quote marks, you are telling google to consider that exact word in that exact order without any changes. ("Millennium Goal address")
  • If you don't want the word to appear in your research, just type a minus (-) sign before a word. For example, if you are typing [Millennium Goal] which you don't want [introduction], you put [Millennium Goal -introduction].
  • If there is minus, of course there is plus (+). If you add a plus sign, google will appear straight forward information that you wanted to find. For example, [Millennium Goal]. If I wanted to find Millennium Goal targets, then I'll put [Millennium Goal targets+], then the research might just appear the targets but not history or United Nations' information.
  • The fourth tip is to put (*) after the word. That will give you the best matches for the unknown term/word. For example, if you put [Millennium Goal*], that will give the main possibility of the information, like goal 1-8's target and what has been done.
  • When you wanted to find a particular site, but wanted to find the information you want there, put [site:] to search a specific website. For example, if I wanted to find Millennium Goals in a website called "Cyber school bus", then I will put [Millennium Goal site:cyberschoolbus.com] in the search box in google. Sometimes, it doesn't work. So if you wanted to make it simpler, then put [Millennium Goal cyberschoolbus], or if not cyber school bus, then specify a whole class of sites. Like [Millennium Goal site: .UN], then it might only go to UN websites from the results.

My daily fitness and health

In daily life, I eat brown bread in the morning, white bread or rice with vegetable and meat in the afternoon, and rice at night for dinner. I drink soup, average 4 days in a week. I won't eat junk food if my parents didn't buy any, I only eat junk food a few days a week, so I also get starch and sugar from them. I don't drink much water, although I drink drinks that contains glucose and other minerals, like lemon tea or Vita-soy, which is not that healthy. I eat fruits everyday, but sometimes I forgot to eat fruit, so I might not be as healthy as I wanted to be.

In my daily diet, vegetable which contain iron and fiber, and food with carbohydrate are healthy, but I won't eat too much food with carbohydrate in a day, because too much carbohydrate would make my diet unbalanced. If we don't have fiber in our life, we won't be able to produce feces, so we might get some toxin in our body. I also eat meat, which is also healthy, because it has protein, but I don't eat too much. Fruit is also healthy, because it contains vitamin, without fruits, we might get diseases.

Of course, if I eat, I must also be active. I have 2 PE lessons in a week at school, but that's not enough. I have to be active everyday, so sometimes I go to the gym on saturday or sunday, and sometimes I play basketball at school in break times. I walk, jog and run everyday, although I might not loose a lot of calories, but it's also a way to keep myself active.

Analysis of "Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost

"Road Not Taken" is a very expressive poet I've learned this year. We learned it and analyzed it in English class, and I found a video for analyzing it. We also wrote an essay about "Connections" of this poet, another poem but it's a song called "My way" by Frank Sinatra, and a blues song called "Crossroad" by Robert Johnson.

~Welcome~

Welcome to my school blog. I'm Janice Hui, and I am a year 9 student. I'm not good at english, cantonese is my mother-tongue. I created this educational blog to share information with everyone and to tell my learning process throughout the year. I hope my information would help. If I maintain it throughout the future, a lot of my work would be in the blog, which will make it a successful blog full of information, and I can look back to what I've done throughout secondary school. Information would be increase, bits by bits, and finally gathered up which make a bunch of knowledge posted into the blog. Information would be updated once I have more to share with. You're welcome to stay in my blog and spend time commenting on it!
